John joined the DFA team in 2007 having spent 8 years with what is now the Milton Keynes office of commercial practice Freeths, where he headed the corporate group.
John has considerable experience in advising on high value and sophisticated corporate transactions with enterprise values of up to £100m. John advises on the acquisition and sale of companies, management buyouts, investments, restructuring and corporate joint ventures. John also advises on general commercial contracts and has a particular interest in share schemes.
John trained originally as a civil engineer and entered the legal profession with county firm Tollers. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, John was a Chief Inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police. John enjoys sports of all kinds including cycling and golf.
