Jeremy graduated from London University in 1973 and became a qualified solicitor in 1976. Jeremy has specialised in litigation matters since 1990.
Jeremy has worked for and represented private and commercial clients covering a variety of issues including; small claims, landlord and tenant disputes, commercial disputes, insolvency and debt recovery.
In his spare time Jeremy is a keen football supporter and is fan of Newcastle United. More recently Jeremy has taken up golf.
Peter Critchell

Peter joined the firm as a trainee solicitor 20 years ago. Today he is a partner and head of the private client team.
Peter and his private client team deal with the administration of estates, inheritance tax planning, trusts, powers of attorney and wills. Peter specialised in the area of Law many years ago and is known for his solid advice and approachable manner.
When not in work Peter is a keen cook and is in fact a part qualified chef. Further hobbies include walking and cycling.

Alan qualified as a solicitor in 1981and has been a partner in private practice specialising in Family Law from 1983. Alan joined DFA Law in 2000 with a reputation as the pre-eminent high net worth matrimonial specialist in Northamptonshire. Alan is one of only four Legal 500 highly recommended family law solicitors in the East Midlands.
A former Chairman of the South Midlands section of Resolve (formerly known as the Solicitors’ Family Law Association) Alan deals with disputes between married and cohabiting couples concerning finance and children quite apart from dealing with divorce, cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements.
Outside of work Alan enjoys all types of sports especially rugby – he is a rugby football union qualified coach. Alan is also a member of the committee which runs junior cricket in South Northamptonshire.

John joined the DFA team in 2007 having spent 8 years with commercial practice Kimbells, where he headed their corporate group.
John has considerable experience in advising on high value and sophisticated corporate transactions with enterprise values of up to £100m. John advises on the acquisition and sale of companies, management buyouts, investments, restructuring and corporate joint ventures. John also advises on general commercial contracts and has a particular interest in share option schemes.
John trained originally as a civil engineer and entered the legal profession with county firm Tollers. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, John was a Chief Inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police. John enjoys sports of all kinds and regularly runs half-marathons.
Michael Fitzpatrick

Mike joined DFA Law in 1998 from another well respected local private practice partnership. He has developed and maintained a long standing expertise in private and commercial property work.
Mike has an empathy and particular enthusiasm for helping small, medium and large growing businesses achieve their objectives through sale, acquisition and financing of business premises of all different kinds.
Mike trained with regional firm Howes Percival. A former Round Tabler and Housing Association committee member, he is married with three daughters, enjoys the gym, rugby and motor sport. He owns and rides a 1200cc Suzuki motorbike.
Clare Towers

Clare qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and joined DFA Law in 2005 from a highly respected commercial practice in Leicester.
Clare deals with a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions including company and business sales and acquisitions, management buy-outs and buy-ins, corporate restructures, joint ventures and asset and business transfers.
Clare also specialises in general commercial work and has a particular interest in Equine Law, and is a member of the Equine and Animal Lawyer Association.
Clare is an enthusiastic equestrian and also enjoys motorsport. She competes her horse in dressage and showjumping events and also dual drives her husband’s classic car in competitive motorsport events.

Robert Lynch

Robert has been a qualified Solicitor for over a decade and joined the firm in 2001. Originally a Litigation Solicitor, Robert now specialises in private client matters.
Today Robert deals with wills and probate issues and a wide range of taxation, trusts, administration of estates and lasting powers of attorney matters. For many years Robert taught the Law of Succession to other lawyers at a local college.
In his spare time Robert enjoys travelling having travelled extensively in the Far East and Australia, Robert also likes to socialise with family and friends.
Prester Coleman

After 21 years as a sole practitioner in Northampton Prester Coleman is now a partner in the Family Legal Aid Team at DFA Law.
Throughout his career Prester has specialised in child and family cases. He was one of the first members of the Law Society Children Panel. He continues to concentrate on care proceedings work, representing children who may be at risk of abuse and parents who may be at risk of having their children taken into Local Authority care. Over the years he has conducted a wide range of cases at court including adoption, wardship, residence/contact and cases with a mental health element.
His other interests include his family (wife, three children, one grandchild – so far), his faith, reading and music of various kinds. He is also a keen photographer.
Mark Brown

Mark Brown specialises in property development work acting for a wide range of developers and landowners. He also advises on major development and regeneration projects.
Mark has extensive experience in development work dealing with all forms of site acquisition and disposal structures and financing arrangements, including conditional contracts and overage provisions. Mark has particular expertise in options, consortium/joint ventures, planning agreements and resolving infrastructure problems.
Mark also advises on property taxation issues and structures and in particular Stamp Duty Land Tax and VAT.
